Spanish Dance Troupe
Entertainment that "clicks"! Palillos! Classical Spanish Dancers & Castanet Artists is a truly unique entertainment for your pageant, organization, or event. Classical Spanish blends Spanish folk dance and ballet technique, with the use of castanets, to provide an exciting dance experience. Palillos! performs both traditional and contemporary choreography with castanets to bring a 19th century style of dance into the 21st century. Also available for lecture-demonstrations and master classes.

Training: Anabelle Steelman-Berry, director, has over 30 years experience as a
dance instructor. Anabelle began studying Spanish dance in Texarkana, TX with
Judith McCarty Hansen, who had been a student of Eduardo Cansino in California
when the popularity of this style of dance was at its height, and has
participated in workshops with Maria Benitez, Marina Keet, and Matteo. She
studied ballet at the National Academy of Ballet under Thalia Mara, the NY
School of Dance Arts, and the NJ School of Ballet, is a life member of the Texas
Association Teachers of Dance, and one of the founding members of Dance
Coalition, a choreographers collective in Northwest Arkansas.
