The Art of Motion

2371 Green Acres Rd. Fayetteville, AR  72703

Classes in jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap, and hip hop
The Art of Motion is a school where dance is a lifestyle—where both the serious and recreational dancer can study, enjoy, and develop a love for the art of dance in an environment that cultivates technique, creativity, and spirit.

Classes will be divided into levels for ages 3 and up according to body alignment, execution of skills, and performance ability. The levels will give each student, individually, a chance to progress as fast as he or she would like with the amount of work that his or her body requires to achieve it. The levels will give those who need work on some skills the time they need in order to develop a better base for harder skills in the future. It is a win-win situation: a relaxed environment for those who enjoy dance as recreation and a serious atmosphere for those who want to have the skills they need to dance at a higher level after high school. The director of the studio will have the final say in the decision to advance a student, and finally, all classes will be fun, but here will be an emphasis on hard work and discipline.

Hannah Peabody is originally from Rogers, AR.  She started her dance career at Ballet Westside where she was a student for 10 years.  At Dance Olympus competitions during this time, she won gold and bronze medals for solos in the junior and senior categories and many group awards.  She was also accepted as a VIP with Dance Olympus.  When she reached high school, Hannah began teaching jazz and lyrical classes at Ballet Westside to students of all ages.  After graduating, she taught at two different locations in Fayetteville, Footworks and The New School, and continued her teaching career in Rogers.

During the summer of 2001, she went to New York City to study under Alex Hasbany, Michelle Assaf, Sheila Barker and Michelle Barber at Broadway Dance Center.  Hannah’s jazz and lyrical choreography has since won first, second, and third place awards at Dance America on both the regional and national levels, LA Danceforce, Starstruck, and Talent on Parade.  She also has a few choreography awards under her belt from both Dance America and Talent on Parade.
As a new choreographer for the local non-profit organization, Dance Coalition, she is excited about teaming up with others in the local dance community to promote dance performance and education in the area.

Hannah
still can’t believe that the dream of owning her own dance studio has come true, and she knows that with the help of her amazing staff, The Art of Motion will have what it takes to offer the best dance education available in Northwest Arkansas!
